Michael Staenberg is the President of THF Realty, founded in 1991. Staenberg has experienced unprecedented success as President of THF Realty. THF today manages/owns over 22 million square feet of property of retail shopping centers. Staenberg attributes his success to being passionate about what you do. He has an unmatched energy and enthusiasm for his work which is a direct testament to THF Realty's sustained success. He approaches all of his projects with an uncanny zealous attitude and is involved in all aspects of THF's projects which include leasing, development, and real estate management. This level of commitment and enthusiasm spills over into the communities where THF projects are planned or have been executed. THF's growth is unprecedented in the real estate industry. The first development in 1992 produced a 300,000 square foot center. Fifteen projects are under construction today. Michael has been active in real estate for over 32 years and he has served as the developer of more than 150 shopping centers in over 25 states. Michael Staenberg strongly believes in supporting the communities where THF's developments are located. Staenberg also believes properties owned and managed by a developer such as THF are the most successful in providing a community with their shopping needs. He also takes being a "good neighbor" to heart. He was the first one to donate land for a needed soccer field. When the city of Maplewood came up short for a playground at the new elementary school, Staenberg responded by generously donating the remaining funds in order to make the playground a reality for the school and local community. In his recent major developments, he has been quick to go the extra mile in preserving the natural habitat, as much as possible, while adding such accoutrements as nature trails, bike trails, fountains and teaming up with local experts in the area for preservation consultations. Michael Staenberg's philanthropy and community leadership is pervasive throughout St. Louis and all communities in which THF Realty develops. He personally gives of his time by being a board member for the following organizations such as: The Sheldon Concert Hall, Center of Contemporary Arts, Variety Club, St. Louis Zoo Foundation, Regional Business Council-Executives for Regional Growth and Civic Change, Jewish Community Center, St. Louis Effort for AIDS, Holocaust Museum, Jewish Light, Epstein Hebrew Academy, Contemporary Art Museum, St. Louis Art Museum, Siteman Cancer Center, and St. Louis Variety. Michael Staenberg was the 2002 recipient of the Richard Weiss Man of the Year Award, presented in recognition for his outstanding leadership and volunteerism throughout the St. Louis Community. Staenberg was the recipient of the 2000 St. Louis Entrepreneur of the Year Award, recognizing his business leadership. He has also been named the 2001 City Of Clayton Businessperson Of The Year, recognizing his and THF's significant contributions to Clayton and the long term value that has been created. Michael Staenberg was the 1999 recipient of the City Of Chesterfield's Businessperson of the Year award. The development in Chesterfield has had an enormous economical impact on the city, as well as the surrounding communities which will benefit from this contribution for many years to come. In a relatively short period of time, he turned Chesterfield Valley into one of the fastest growing and most successful developments in the United States. Prior to founding THF in 1991, Michael represented, in a brokerage capacity, such well-known companies as Wal-Mart, Sam's, McDonald's, Blockbuster Video, Kroger, Lowe's Home Improvement Centers, Payless Shoes, Pearl Vision, AMC Theaters and Taco Bell. Mr. Staenberg is the former Senior Vice President and Director of Real Estate for the Leo Eisenberg Company, a national real estate development organization.
